The feedback as can be seen from the highlighted answers above was very positive, and along with analysis of the transcripts of the workshop itself highlighted areas we could focus on for further development to improve the toolkit, particularly for users in India and Bangladesh. The ongoing developments now reside on the new Accessible Academy website.
Significant new work has been undertaken in some sections. Generative AI as we know is advancing rapidly, and its use in higher education is unavoidable. It brings with it great advantages for use in higher education, but also presents ethical, academic, environmental and technical issues. The content on Gen AI in the course has been significantly updated to cover the many issues with its use in HE, and to help staff and students get the best out of it.
The imbalance within the staff and student populations of people in terms of gender, race and people from disdvantaged backgrounds was also highlighted. A section has been introduced on Charters used in UK HE institutions, and becoming globally recognised in order to promote their uptake in India and Bangladesh. This section is entitled Gender and Race Equality.
