  • Generate natively structured, searchable digital documents; preserve a clean semantic text layer rather than flat images, wherever a PDF or scanned graphic might otherwise be used. 

  • Use clean, logical header outlines and correct reading order in slides, so a screen reader announces content in the intended sequence. 

  • Apply meaningful alt text to every image and give detailed verbal descriptions during teaching. 

  • Ensure full keyboard navigation on the learning management system; avoid using visual tables purely for page layout. 

  • Provide synchronised captions and full text transcripts for all video and audio content. 

  • Use accessible alternative exam platforms, and confirm extra time and compatible technology are arranged well in advance.
